Hi ladies,
I went to my post op for my surgery I had on Jan 20th 2 days ago (March 1st). I've never seen him so unsure, so confused, so unconfident in what he was doing with me. He was trying to convince us, he left out details of my surgery like the removal of a right femoral artery cyst, visable adhesions and downplayed obvious endo throughout. But he wasn't confident in what he said, he tried so hard to convince me he "got it all again" and "we'll wait and see".
How did this specalist doctor who was fighting so hard for me suddenly become to unconfident in his own abilities?
I left almost in tears, by the time I reached the carpark I was a complete mess, Jason was so upset. He's given up on me, he doesn't know what to do. I feel lost again, when I had so much hope. If he can't do anything more medically he can tell me that, he needs to, so I can work on some pain management skills.
I'm going to seek a second opinion from another doctor in melbourne.

is the website. I've heard some great reviews from people, who speak highly of this guy as an honest and truthful man. I go today to get my referral and I will book the appoinment asap.

I am doing pelvic floor therapy even though it's costing me out the rear end.
I know there's no cure, but there is no need for me to suffer, I'm 20 years old and I don't go out, I can't work and I can barely make it out of bed most days. I am hoping I don't fail university this year. I try and do everything I can, go for walks even though I end up in agony, eat right, I've changed my milk and all. I am trying..I really am.
I am being proactive right in seeking this second opinion?

I think sometimes doctors and the whole medical field are just as frustrated with this disease as we are. (Well almost.) It's so unpredictable, and the complexity of the condition in each woman, I would imagine, makes it very hard to be confident in treating.
We shouldn't have to be the ones to try to keep everyone together and keep everyone encouraged. (We're the ones who are sick.) But it does seem like that sometimes.
If your heart tells you to look for a second doctor, do it! You can't let someones negitive attitude effect you and hold you back. Life is to short! You need someone who's ready to stay in the game with you, not someone who's going to sit the game out the first time things don't go as planned.
Have faith. I here for you.

Just can't give up hope!
I hope you don't have the issues I have. I am glad you are actually able to see a specialist. There are none in my area.
If you haven't I suggest you don't try LUPRON... it has destroyed my body. My heart goes out to you!
I don't think you are wrong for seeking out another Gyne.
Let us know how this next stage goes for you.
I went to my new family doctor, after reviewing my pictures she said I am getting alot worse. She said sometimes even specialists back off when it gets too tough to deal with. Maybe it's a pride thing? He doesn't want to admitt he can't help me, when he should be a specialist in this area?
I have been referred and am currently booked in to see a new specialist on the 15th of march.

He seems to be very intune with whats going on and whats better he isnt doctor recommended he is patient recommended! So thats even better!
Going to the states probably isn't an option, I'd have NO insurance over there and I can't afford the tens of thousands your operations costs over there. In all honesty paying outright here without my insurance is cheaper! I know the better doctors are probably in the states but fianacially it's not an option :(
