My Mom had a total hysterectomy, that's when the docs discovered she had endo. She didn't have any symptoms. She's loved having the hyster done. For her it was a success. Some people aren't as lucky.

From what Ive researched and my DRs take it doesnt guaranty end of Endo, where theres no cure, plus there can be side effects of the procedure beyond. It would be my absolute last option, of course Im of the mind set that Ill mess with me insides as little as possible, and they already have enough problems. In fact for Stage 4 (horrific as I had a DR describe once yea) Ive only had the one dialogistic LAP and a CSect for my daughter and after that it was defiantly decided that is we never had to go back in thats the plan.

I will be having one tomorrow. After trying countless other things...it is my last resort to live a quality life.

Thanks Alana3! I had my histerectomy yesterday with removal of both ovaries and I decided to stay overnight in the hospital. Its a lot of pain but, my sciatic nerve pain is gone I think! They set me up with a pain pump and are taking good care of me. I will be starting bio-identical horomone replacement with both estrogen and pogesterin since I am not of a menopausal age just yet (33yrs).

Holy crap you're already on here! Omgggg details! Was the pain really that bad and how are you coping emotionally? I know it can be quite a big deal I'm so glad to see you here! :)

The pain was bad for the first 24-48hrs. But now I am at home. I dont have any regrets, at the moment anyway.

Your sciatic pain went away?! That's awesome! My sciatic nerve is being a pain in the tuckus today. Everything is being a pain in the tuckus today...oofda!

Thanks everyone!! I will post an update for everyone in about a week. But I am at home now, just on vicoden and alleve for now. I still can't believe it happened because I feel total fine and like myself emotionally. Just pain from healing. Everyone including the nurses at the hospital keept saying how impressed they were with how quickly I was able to get up and move around only a few hours after.

Also I have a headache but hopefully that will pass soon.

Vans...Please take it easy and allow your body to heal. Whatever you do, PICK UP NOTHING...not even your itty bitty companion. Keep your tummy pillow close by. It was my best friend. My mom's teacup poodle thought it was an open invitation to jump onto for a nap=) OUCH!?!
