Hsg not possible today.

So I went in for the HSG and they couldn't get the device in fully. My cervics kept pushing out the balloon. :-(

They said I could get dilated and try again, but that it would be very painful. Have you had this happen? How was it?

Yes, I had that exact experience. My cervix is tilted to the right because of scoliosis, and they had a lot of trouble getting the catheter in and keeping it in. They tried 2 different catheters, and it took 2 doctors, and they finally got it in on the 3rd try. The second doctor didn't even introduce himself to my face when he was called in, just mumbled his name in the general direction of my privates and started jabbing away. It was one of the most painful experiences of my life, and afterward, I left feeling so violated. It made me really question how far I wanted to take our TTC efforts, and probably had something to do with why we gave up so easily.

I'm glad they warned you it would hurt and gave you the option to try again another day.

ugh I go in in a week I hope that doesn't happen to me I have a tilted uterus and what you just described sassy sounds horrible. I hope endowife you can get in sooner than later and it goes more smoothly next time

Ive never heard of HSG. Is it just for TTC?

Yes, an hsg is for ttc. My right tube burst from an ectopic pregnancy so the doc wanted to test the left to see if it is open for business, or blocked (which would lead to another ectopic).

This damn endo is getting in the way of baby making for sure.

Sassy, I am so sorry that this happened to you, it sounds horrible. Agree, my doc was pretty humane. She tried hard (5 or so attempts with different devices) but refused to just jab, jab, jab.
