Well I saw that new doc yesterday and I'm beyond confuse. I like her, and she's actually trying to figure out a solution for me, but she won't do a lap because she says that 9 times out of 10 they find nothing. She wants to do an IUD and have that rod-thing put in my arm (two BCs at once!) and she'll do a biopsy at the same time. She says that if this doesn't work, we'll try the endometrial ablation. I just want relief and it just seems that after 20 years (well almost), I want a permanent solution. I'm done with this whole period thing. But she said that we have to exhaust other options first. Uggg!!!!

Just been a crappy week :( physically and emotionally

It's been a rough week and I am laid up on the couch this weekend. I was just diagnosed with interstitial cystitis in addition to my endo and PCOS. I was supposed to have a cystoscopy Thursday but they found blood in my urine, catheterized me, and found that I had a bladder infection from the test they did on my bladder the week before. So now I have to take antibiotics and go back for the cystoscopy Friday. I'm in extreme pain and beyond frustrated!

I am sleep deprived and in constant discomfort with frequent unbearable pain in my intestines. My surgical scars also hurt (it's been two and a half months since my surgery).

I see my GI specialist on tuesday. My aunt lent me her juicer and, after a horrible week of pain this past week, I am convinved to try a juice only diet. The hope is that it can give my intestines a break and help get rid of the inflammation. We'll also see what my doc has to offer me.

My parents suggested they might get me a dog (something I desparately need to help combat the pain-induced depression!), but the more I think about it I might ask for my own juicer instead. It would be a lot cheaper than a dog and all it needs, like vet bills and food, and I wouldn't feel bad about not taking it for a walk due to my pain. :P

P, one of my scars hurts 5 months after surgery! It never stopped! I have an appointment with my RE tomorrow and I plan to ask him about it...I'll let you know what he says.

Also, juicing sounds like a fabulous idea. Have you ever seen the documentary "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead"? I highly recommend it, and I believe it's still on Netflix!

P, let me know how you do on the juice only diet! I tried to do that, not for my intestines but for weight loss...I think I ate the fridge after a couple of days lol! Pain, however, is a much better motivator, and I hope this really works for you!

Angel, sorry about your bladder infection :(

I have horrible gi problems, juiced for a while and it actually helped! It is worth a try and I second the documentary fat, sick and nearly dead it is amazing. You might be able to view it on you tube

My week hasn't been fun, im grumpy, in pain, having gi upset and have massive exam to study for so no resting for me :( I am also having a nice pitty party for one at the moment. Thanks endo...
