Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
It does hurt a bit afterwards (it is a surgery, after all), but it's not too bad. I went back to school two days later. It makes your shoulders hurt, because some air that stays behind bubbles up to your diaphragm, and the way it presses on your diaphragm hurts your shoulders. But as long as you can take just a couple days off and lay down with an ice pack on your groin and heat pad over diaphragm, it'll be okay.
I would highly recommend getting a laparoscopy. I know the idea of surgery is scary, but I promise laparoscopies aren't too bad. Everyone I've talked to who's had one was able to get back to life fairly quickly, and it can be very beneficial, especially if they cut out the endometriosis (hearing my gynecologist use the words "cut out" scared me, but even after they had cut out the endometriosis, it still did hurt too bad).
Feel free to message me! I'm a pretty open book.
