ok i am sooo tired of pain meds and right now for the past few days it is the only thing helping. I tried a bath, heating pad, tylonol, ibprofin, walking doesnt help when it is this bad i dont get far. this is about the same time as last month that i had to go to the er. and hubby would be to upset if i did that. i tried to call the new gyn but he cannot get me in. and i called my family dr but he doesnt know what to tell me except go to the er. i dont know what to do im throwing up and it hurts so bad. not to puke but my tummy and it is bruised where it hurts the worst. it bruises everytime i get my period but i dont have it. what do you guys do for pain when it is this bad?

I have been in pain since September, and I wasn't sure exactly why. I used heating pads, and I would even have to wear them to work. I would get 2-3 hrs of sleeps a night at times because of pain. I took alot of OTC meds over the counter, and nothing worked. My family doctor gave me a precription for Naproxin and that didn't work. She then refered me to a gyn, the gyn did an ultrasound that showed several cyst. So, she gave me a percription for Codeine (this was the 1st medicine that ever helped me sleep at night). Time went on and I was still having the pain, she called me in for another ultrasound, and NOTHING showed up in this ultrasound. That is when she suggested I had laproscopy surgery. They found out that I had severe endometriosis, and I was under anistesa for a very long time. A couple days after I got really sick and had to go back in the emergency room. They told me I had a UTI and I was dehydrated. Well, here it is June, I had the surgery in May. I am still in pain, and luckily I have a doctor that gives me codeine (this is helping me so much). I can actually sleep a full night now without waking up in pain. I understand what you are going thru, and I am so sorry you have endometriosis. I hope you feel better soon.

My GYN gave me some good drugs (a narcotic) for when it gets bad. I've never had mine go to quite the extreme that your has.

I would ask Doc for some stronger meds. I know that you don't want to be a zombie, but when it gets like that what choice do you have? Curl up with the heating pad and pop some motrin if you have it.

You might be throwing up from the pain meds. Even though you might be hurting, try not taking them for a day and see if that helps with the vomitting. If you are still vomitting after a day, call your dr or go to the ER

thanks guys. I have phenergan for the throwing up i cannot lose any more weight basically just about down to nothing. Im going to try try to just take the motrin or tylonol today see if it helps. maybe not eat too much stick to my shakes. very yuck but oh well. I have vicodin for the pain but im almost out and im really scared to ask for more. been 5 months of pain and no help yet. just here take this all the drs. dont help. ive had to actually start telling them no i dont want it cause i dont want them thinking im dr shopping. i feel horrible about this. trying yoga today if im up to it.

if your gyn doesnt want to continue pain meds, you may think about a pain clinic? Thats what I do.

i go to the pain clinic i think either next week or the week after. the problem is my pain wont be as bad then. so aggravating
