Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
I still face a lot of the critics in my life unfortunately including my own significant other sometimes but that is why I started to reach out to a community of people on here. My mom has been my biggest support on my journey but sometimes that doesn't always cover someone else relating to the pain and loneliness that can come with it.
I had a horrible gyno when I got diagnosed that got me on medication to manage the endo pain and surgically diagnose me but he put me on the Depo shot much longer than recommended and left me very uneducated on what I was facing. I ended up facing a lot of complications due to the medication and switched doctors. They all made me feel hopeless and unheard. I do yoga really consistently now to help with the pain and stay on a keto diet to help with the inflammation. That has helped me find a lot of relief.
I still worry often and get caught up in crazy thoughts. I feel like I'm not as adequate as other women and that something is wrong with me or my boyfriend will leave me. It drives him crazy and he doesn't understand my thought process or acknowledge that I even live with pain. I have found relationships particularly hard.
Please don't forget you don't journey alone. How you feel is relate able for other people facing what you are. There is support out there. Starting to provide yourself your own support system like this will help you feel less crazy and give you some people to listen. That is a great start.
