Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
Hey ladies,
You've probably heard me talking about how I want to keep going with my studies etc... but Im finding it quite hard (i've written of this too in my journal entries).
Im just scared currently that this disease will take over my ability to study/work.
Im only 19 (20 this year) and im currently studying - hoping to eventually get back into the right degree. Im worried though I'll spend a lot of time studying and by that stage my endo will be too bad and I wont be able to enter the workforce.
I have a wonderful boyfriend but there is only so much he can go through! He does tell me every day though he is committed to sticking by me whatever results come our way!
Im attempting to become a primary school teacher and have moved states recently.. its resulted in back tracking abit with my studies and subsequent operations are going to put a hold on me completing my degree in 4 years! Im just wondering how you ladies cope with pain? and how you designed your futures around endo? I'm young and would really love some guidence from you ladies!

Thanks for your insight! My psych said if I have to drop classes she wont mind being someone to vouche for me with government payments etc which is good.
My lap went alright, was in there for 1.5-2 hours, they found the endo they suspected I had but not sure how bad it is.. they also told my boyfriend (my next of kin) that they found other things as well so im a bit conerened about that.
I find out on Monday how bad it all is so im just waiting for that trying not to over react too much on what it "might" be etc.
It's good to know another girl in a similar situation to me around my age =)
I hope your studies are going well and you're not in too much pain - im trying to keep up with my studies, I guess time will tell!
