Hi ladies!
So my doctor put me on Reclipsen after my 3rd lap in June. I am having cervical bleeding that no one can figure out and they are chalking it up to a friable cervix.
Now, the only time I start bleeding is during foreplay, sex, and when I push to use the bathroom (Endo causes my IBS to flare up and I get wicked constipated)
Anywho, I have never been able to tolerate BC but I said I would give it a try anyways since I havent been on anything in over 7 years. Well wouldnt you know a couple weeks into BC I had migranes, my hunger increased like no ones business, I was MEGA lathargic, depressed and cried like crazy, broke out in hives, my face broke out and the list goes on.....I also developed a swollen lymphnode on the back of my neck that my doctors wanted to biospsy but I didnt want to go get it done since I am already in medical debt.
In any event, gained 4lbs in a month because of BC and I just couldnt take feeling like trash anymore so I told my boyfriend I was going to stop, get a period and see how it goes. I stopped BC on Monday and by Thursday I had a period.....It is pretty much gone today..NOT typical.... I usually have very heavy periods for about 5 days and then by day 6 is it gone...I am going to go insane. This is exactly how the whole friable cervix thing started prior to my lap and cervical cauterization....
Now, I feel much better I do not have migranes anymore, I dont feel depressed, I am not nearly as lathargic, and my appetite is under control and I am not a sopping mess. AND the swollen lymphnode is half the size it was while I was on BC.
I have tried EVERY BC under the sun and i am at a loss....I can say though....the random bleeding stops when I take the BC...which proves to me...I do have a hormonal imbalance.....
Is there anyone else out there with my problem and what have you done to fix it? or are you on a BC and do you feel side effects while on it???
I want to just jump off a bridge that is how nuts I am going....ugh....

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
BUT, I am EXTREMELY sensitive to anything with hormones in it, with the exception of Mirena. I had some side effects but they went away in a couple of months. ( Thank GOD!! ) But I've been put on Lupron and Femara since I've been diagnosed with endo and YIKES!!! NEVER AGAIN!!! Let me just tell you that something else takes over my body and I am forced to sit inside my body and watch and can't do a damn thing about anything I do or say! UUUHG!!
Have you ever gotten checked out by an endocrinologist? If not, it might be in your best interest. They can do a complete check on your hormones and take a very CLOSE look! Other doctors won't and/or can't do this. I think you are a perfect candidate for a endocrinologist!! Ask your GP to refer you ASAP!!!

I have both an OBGYN and Endocrinologist. I was put on the Reclipsen by my Endocrinologist. He checked my hormone levels and said they were normal yet....I still have a friable cervix and nothing is fixing it but birth control.
My OBGYN doesnt want to put me on Mirena or the Nuva Ring because I get vaginal infections as well as infections of the uterus very easily.
My endocrinologist is the one that has done all of my surgeries and checked my hormone levels....no one has an explanation for my friable cervix. I was checked for stds and HPV and NOTHING....they can't figure it out....so when I had my 3rd Lap in June they cauterized my cervix and that still didnt help.....I really dont get it.....some how my body continues to have crazy hormones that cause me to spot when trying to go #2 or have sex.....I just woke up one day in May and this happened....I can't handle it...
I wish they could come out with a BC that didnt give me so many side effects.....
I tried Lupron in 2005 and I wanted to just DIE...what a horrible recommendation by my first endocrinologist (he is no longer mine obviously).
But all in all the bleeding stops when I am on BC but I have HORRIBLE side effects that I can't handle....

but I stopped also due to migraines.....was told by a migraine doc that BC is a trigger. Boy ,was it ever !
I did depo provera a couple years and I'd say over all it was better than the BC but I did not know they were giving me too much of it ; anyway no period during those 2 years but strange pain and constipation;
in the end, I chose a natural progesterone pill ; there is only one brand of that. I ended up also getting 2 endometrial abalations; the second one finally took. I had many lap surgergies in my life in addition.
love the Prometrium (natural) as it calmed me down ! Not perfect but found out there is a world of difference btw natural vs. synthethic hormones.
You take progesterone only? and where did you get this natural pill? I haven't had any luck with any type of hormone but I would be interested in trying something natural....
I would also be concerned with taking just progesterone and not having even just a tiny bit of estrogen in there some where....I was taking Reclipsen and it is mainly progesterone.....and causes major problems within my body.....
I know its crazy but I kind of feel better NOT on BC....but apparently my body has a mind of its own and I bleed without BC...I can't deal.
