Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
I am so happy to have a support group to fight this battle with, too!!!! I really loved your statement that you are trying to reclaim your life.....that's such an awesome way to say it and I'm with you!
I am 41 and also have endo in my bowels as well as the rectum and bladder. I used to feel like I "die every month" as you said - unfortunately I'm at the point now that I feel as though i die every day. I'm meeting with one of my surgeons at Mass General this morning so I'm sitting here pretty anxious. I'm so scared of the upcoming surgery but I need to look at it as the beginning of my new life....
Thank you for writing some statements that really resonated with me - I needed that on this morning where I'm filled with anxiety!
Cross you fingers for me and I will say a prayer for you!

This is my very first attempt to get help online. I have been suffering with with an issue since December 2015, it all got worse in March 2016 and that is when I saw my gp. According to the symptoms I described to him he said it sounds like Endometriosis and explained it to me. My symptoms got worse and worse by the day, I lost a lot of weight, I stopped training, couldn't eat and keep my foon in, always nauseous, abdominal pain, tired and drained, I lost a lot of days at work and I saw a few doctors and gynaecologists, all of them said it sounded like endometriosis. I was booked for a laporoscopic and colonoscopic procedure but I had trouble with my medical aid and they wouldn't let me go through with the procedures. My gp prescribed me ginette35 to see if it maybe helped, it only got worse. So I had to travel to see another gynaecologist who gave me the option of jasmine or Visanne. The pain I had at the time was too much for me to handle so I chose the visanne without being properly been diagnosed with endometriosis.. I am on visanne for 6 months now and my medical aid is finally willing to go ahead with my procedures. If I go for the laporoscopy now even though I've been on Visanne for 6 kinds, will they be able to pick up the endometriosis or would've the visanne made it disappear? I really want to stop the Visanne as I am picking up weight, even though I'm back at gym, I'm bloated all the time and I always have this discomfort feeling in my abdominal? Has anyone been through the same or is it just me?
Please help. I'm going crazy.
Thanks

Unfortunately surgery doesn't always solve the pain issues. While I don't have a bloated feeling, I do have a heavy pressure/pulling/sandpaper feeling deep in my pelvis. Sometimes the outside of my hips/bum hurt so bad I can't walk. I met a pain Dr who specializes in pelvic pain and he's been amazing! Don't give up! And thanks for sharing, I think we can all learn from each other!!
