Hi everyone! I'm new to this group but very greatful I found it! I'm 32 yo with endo and reaccuring cysts. I've had two c-sections, which from what I've been reading can make the endo worse. My doc tied my tubes after she was born. I've had pain in my right hip around my menstrual cycle since having my last child almost a year ago. This past week I went to the er with a ruptured cysts...thought I was dying! I started my cycle the next day, which only last 3 days. I'm still having severe hip pain that comes and goes! Pain meds, anti inflammatories, heating pads, nothing helps!!! My doctor keeps putting me off and thinks I'm crazy or I need a shrink! I know my body and know I'm not imagining things. I also have trouble sleeping, gaining weight, moodiness, and the list goes on! I feel so alone and feel like no one understands....please help!
Last year I went to the ER with what turned out to be a ruptured cyst... I thought I was dying too, especially since I had been really quite good as far as ends symptoms for some time. The doctor said, "It was just a ruptured cyst." If I had been able to move I might have punched him in the throat.
So many people, especially doctors like to add the little "just" at the beginning or any statement they make with regards to endometriosis, as though you weren't feeling bas enough physically, here let them minimize and placate you.
Are you able to get into see a specialist? They might be more understanding than your GP? (Assuming it is your GP who keeps putting you off.)
