Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
Hi everyone! As with likely many of you out there, I have been through hell and back with endometriosis. I'm at the point where I was told try lupron or start thinking about trying for a family. My boyfriend and I were both not comfortable with lupron and i have a close friend with endo who vehemently told me she would never ever recommend it to anybody, I've also read horror stories. That being said, I have opted for the latter option and have been off BC for about 2 months now.
OMG the pain and PMS!!! >_< As little as the BC helped, I didn't realize it was already doing so much regardless because life has truly become a nightmare of pain and uncontrollable hormones. I've recently decided to stop making excuses and try to exercise to help my pain because i've heard it helps....OMG the burning pain in my ovaries is absolutely horrendous....i can't even describe the pulling, burning pain that feels like a hernia or like a ball on my ovary is about to be pulled off or my ovaries are being uplled apart....i don't know...hard to describe.
Does anyone have any advice/tips/suggestions for working out on Endo...I'm assuming this pain is by no means normal...I really want to stick with working out I'm finally all gung ho about it and this is slowing me down because I'm scared to do more damage. Should I be fighting through the pain? Does it go away? Should I stop the exercise all together and try something else...Should i be working out at all?
Side note, because I'm very frustrated with endo at this point and it's affects on normal daily life....I'm tired, i'm frustrated, I'm done with this stupid disease this is ridiculous...I'm screaming at the top of my lungs inside my head...there HAS to be something Doctor's out there can do to shine more light on finding help/a cure for this....it takes over every aspect of life, not just one, and it needs to be taken more seriously :(

The best antidepressant is when my wishes are honored. An example, the faucet in my apartment was running although the knobs were turned shut all the way, and one of the pulling strings on my ceiling fan came off. As soon as I notified my maintenance man, he was quick to reply with the work order. RAPID response... he's getting my services around my apartment done. I appreciate my landlord and...

Hello,so I'm currently in a weird relationship with my long distance ex who I've never met in person and it's taking a toll on me. I've lost 15 pounds and lost my appetite, but I'm really attached to him. We've had a lot of problems and I think that has caused me to gain severe anxiety. I don't know if I should wait until it gets better or what. Everytime I've blocked him, it has tend to make me...

For working out DO NOT strain your abdomen area what so ever. Do no strengthening at all! Activity in the abdomen can flare every up. I do yoga, and you can even google yoga for endo. You still get a good work out because yoga uses all muscles, but its very easy on your body. Its also a very good way to relieve stress and anxiety whoch I find are pretty prominent if you're dealing with endo!
With the right kinds of yoga workouts youll still get toned and have abs if ya want, its just so much easier (and fun) on your body. I hope this helps :) if you have more questions just ask! You can follow me on instagram and send me a message (@isabelledavy). I've looked into these things very extensively!!
have you been to a physio for chronic pain? ive been getting help from there, and trying to relax my body, as it seems im always on high wire of pain, and its hard for me to sit still.
they say deep breathing, semiotic exercise can help. Im in the process of learning of it myself. and my best advice is dont push yourself too hard, be gentle with yourself. I go on daily walks just to keep my body moving even when im in pain. My doc said: just take small steps and move it up. Like walk 1 block then the next time walk a little longer etc.
your not alone in this! stay strong and remember to be gentle with yourself, your doing the best you can in spite of the pain.
