Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
If he can say it sounds like i have endo and he believes it then why cant i get any of the other drs i have seen to take that seriously. I cant sleep i hurt so much tonight but i was thinking about this. he checked me out last night and looked at my medical records for the past couple months and noticed my pain was bad enough for the er everytime i got my period. he did a pelvic and said that is where my pain was coming from. but he said it was not life threatening and that has to be diagnosed with surgery. trust me i was all go for it... but he said i need a good gyno because sometimes they can miss it. my mother in law yelled at me about that diagnoses because my lap in March that dr didnt see any. i am so grrrr i want this figured out. How many drs did you guys see before you were taken seriously about your pain?
Keep a diary for one month and write every symptoms. It could be a food related disease (crohns, IBD, etc.), it could be another pelvic condition, but either way only a gastro dr. and gyn. can help right now.
As for not having endo as per your surgery, how good was your doctor? Some can't see it, some don't look hard enough and some are just not skilled enough to know what is what. You need a second opinion and once you have the diary showing when and what your symptoms are, they can see patterns etc.
As I just read, 70% of doctors don't know how to treat or see endo at all and so when they say nothing is wrong, they mean "i am too dumb to know what is wrong". Remember that!

I had to see several different GYNs and I also had a few trips to the ER before I was diagnosed. They told me everything from "suck it up, its just cramping" to "get out of my ER you are a drug-seeker." I can't tell you how humiliating it was - well, I guess you already know - and I finally just stopped looking for help or relief. It took me a whole year of increasing pain and strange symptoms before I decided to find a doctor who would believe me. This time I had to go through three different OBGYNs, but when I finally found my current doctor he was very compasionate and did a lap two weeks after I met him.
Whatever the reason is for your pain, you need a doctor who will do his/her best to help you.
You might just have to do what I did and call every OBGYN in the yellow pages and set up appointments until you find one who takes you seriously.
I just told them that I needed a second opinion and I saw a couple of different doctors before I finally found one I liked.

OBGYNs and gyns are so clueless, and they are afraid to admit that they know nothing of the disease. I have found a regular surgeon is more trained with endometriosis than gyns and the like. They want to agg you on because there's money there. Once I had my hysterectomy, the OB washed his hands of me. He's only trained in preserving the baby machine and deliveries, how I see it.
