Endometriosis treated through Lyme

Hi:

I just wanted to say that I was treated for Lyme disease in September 2012 and got the disease in late May 2012. I have been battling worsening endometriosis since the age of 15 and am 30. I was on Doxycycline Hyclate for one month, while adding Liquorice, CQ3, Echineacia and other vitamins. Ever since my treatment stopped in October, I no longer have endometriosis. I was given oxycodeine and no longer need it and really only need half a 500mg tablet of Naprosyn a day on my period.

They say Doxycycline can through endo into regression to beginning stages. It is a miracle because I have missed so much work and the side effects from oxycodeine are awful.

This is really interesting because as I understand it, there is a very strong correlation between endometriosis and lyme disease. Thanks for sharing!

That is interesting, and I am glad you are feeling better :)
I'm pretty sure Doxcycycline is the most common antibiotic used to treat Lyme disease.
It's great that you are free from Lyme Disease, and Endo pain...enoy some life!

That is amazing! Ive been on doxycycline for almost a year and azythromycin for lymes and for a parasite, but to the contrary, i feel more pelvic pain; probably due to lymes die off.
I wonder if its possible that you Lymes died off and stopped your pain? With treating my lymes, i get very random severe pelvic pain because it attacks your weak areas. Maybe the Lymes was causing you pelvic pain?
In any case, i am so happy for you!

I should also add...I didnt get diagnosed with Lymes until maybe 20 years after i was bit; i was DX about a year ago. I live in a big city, no lymes, and the last time i was in any woods was back then. So my Dr. says its "chronic" lymes disease. (i hate the word chronic).

Im also so happy that you got diagnosed quickly...thats so key in any disease! :-)
