I'm going to the DC one, so sorry I'll miss meeting you.

I posted about this a couple weeks ago and there were crickets. It's great, we should keep posting loud and proud until the day of and beyond.

I wanted to go to the DC event again, but I'm on the wrong coast this year. I'm visiting family in San Francisco and then I'm taking the Caltrain down to Palo Alto.

Definitely keep talking about it! I can't wait for this year's march :) Last year was a ton of fun, and I'm super excited to see how many people show up this year.

Just curious, what does one do at these endomarches?

At the last march they had like lectures and speeches in the morning, and then we moved to the National Mall and some endo survivors spoke, they played "why I'm marching" videos, Stephanie March talked about her surgery with Dr. Nezhat, and Sheryl Crowe gave a really nice concert. Then we did the march part all the way back to the auditorium, where we defrosted (it was seriously cold! lol), ate dinner, and listened to a DJ.

It was really cool. I got to meet the president of the AMA, Dr. Wah, and Dr. Linda Griffith from MIT. She's doing some really interesting endo research:

And then, of course, there were all of the wonderful endo girls. It was really nice to meet face to face with people who know what you're going through. Everyone was so friendly. There was this girl from Jersey that was just hugging everyone and this other girl brought a whole crate of yellow stuff (headbanbs, pom poms, noise makers, etc..). It was so much fun!

dgg - are you attending again this year?!?!?? You are seriously a HUGE inspiration. Would LOVE to meet you, I'll have to find NM and look for you.

Marlain - the endo march is about raising awareness and funds for endo. It's showing that this disease is important to a LOT of women, all walks of life, all over the world. It's telling funding agencies that we want more help in solving this disease and telling OB/GYN's that they aren't cutting it with the average response to the disease.

It was amazing last year, agree with PA, the endo girls was a HUGE plus and amazing to see so many people smiling to meet others with endo.

doe! as in doah!! nope we likely didn't see one another. If you go again next year we seriously need to coordinate.

You are AMAZING and inspire me so much. I've been thinking about what I (and my endo sisters) can do to help support endo.

I'd love to apply for a grant and get a team of endo girls together and start a grass roots effort. I mean we can be the ones to educate doctors and patients, right? Why wait for the medical community to do it?!?!?

I completely agree with you on that! Doctor's should be more educated about endo during medical school- more that the ten minutes that they give it!
Ugh! I wish we would have coordinated sooner to meet!
