Hi everyone!
I am in need of a little comfort tonight... It has been a month and a half since my lap surgery and the pain has returned. I do not get a period but when it was that time about two weeks ago, the severe stabbing and cramping pain returned. I also had a second surgery that same week for gall bladder removal so I've been a complete mess. The endo pain subsided after 6 days, but it came back today. I still have endo on my ureter that they were unable to remove, but a very small spot, so I don't know if it is just from that or if what is going on. Is this normal? Even though the rest of the endo is gone, what does this pain mean? Is it starting to grow elsewhere? I truly don't understand this disease.
The day of my gall bladder surgery my OBGYN actually stopped in to see me, which was amazing for her to take the time to check on me! I was so glad to see her and explained that the pain had returned earlier that week. I asked her if it was normal and she said no, but I was still a little out of it. She ended up calling me last week to tell me she sent in a prescription because she thinks I need more progesterin. She had mentioned before that she wasn't sure if my implanon held enough to treat the endo. I am going back to see her next month so we can talk some more. The prescription she gave me is called aygestin, has anyone taken this before? I started taking it on Saturday so how long will it take to work? Doc had mentioned it should help with the pain... I am just lost and still trying to recover from 2 surgeries within a month of each other.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I was on aygestin and did not do well with ti. I do much better on regular birth control pills even when I don't take them continuously. My endo pain gets much worse if I don't have a period.
Hotchocolate: I haven't had a period in six years, because I had an IUD. We thought the IUD was causing the pelvic pain at first, so it was removed. I am almost wondering if it would be better for me to have a period, but you are the first person I have heard that your endo pain gets worse if you don't have a period. This is interesting and it is something that I had asked my doc before I was officially diagnosed. She told me that my body still goes through the cycle but does not bleed. Its all so crazy. I am going to keep the implanon/nexplanon with the added aygestin for a few more months and see what happens. I have also started taking anxiety medications and have found the calmer I am, the less the pain is. I think stress is playing a large role in the inflammation.
