Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
I've had a lot of spotting since the surgery and starting the continuous BC and the doc told me to take 4 days off then start up again.
I woke up to the period apocalypse this morning. Worse than the pain though has been the realization that endometriosis effing sucks.
I start back up on the BC tomorrow so I'm sure I'll be feeling better.
They didn't know it had endo inside of it until they sent it off to pathology.
My doc and I are basically in a wait and see period. He says some women are good enough after removal and a BC regimen and some aren't. But he/I won't know until we know. And honestly after talking to so many people with endo I know that's all we can do for now.
Lupron and other more serious choices aren't his first choice nor mine. Different decisions will be made if/when we have a round 2 of pain.
I hope they have a plan of action to get you on your way to healing stat. I can't even imagine how petrifying that is. Ugh. :/ Sending hugs
Has your period and pain calmed down since you restarted the bc?
