Hi everyone,
I have 13 month old twin girls and my endo is back. It feels like it is pretty severe this time. The problem - after maternity leave and trying to take days here and there to be with the girls, I don't have a lot of time off left. I feel like I am in need of another lap. I'm very upset about a few aspects of this. I know that the laps can be done as much as I am willing to do them, but know that the hysterectomy is the final resolution to all of this. The laps don't seem to keep the endo away for long for me anymore. I know that it will be tough recovering with two little girls at home - even though hubby is a stay at home daddy and is GREAT with them - they still require a lot of mommy time. They aren't old enough yet to know that I will be hurting and that I won't be able to play with and hold them like I always do. I'm almost ready to go ahead and tell them to do the hysterectomy, but know that the recovery time for that will be much longer than a lap. I don't know if I should go ahead and get it overwith, or how long I should continue with the pain and laps. We don't plan to have any more kids, since we cannot afford the IVF again, and that is our only option for conceiving. Any advice? Is anyone else facing the same kind of decision? How do you weigh the facts and decide what to do?

IF so, it may be adhesions causing your worsening pain, in which case surgery will not help and a hysterectomy may make it worse. There are many options before hysterectomy, such as LUNA or neurectomy, hormonal treatments, acupuncture etc. that will be easier with kids in tow.
