Really it sounds like the kind of things that I have been having for the last few years or so. I think you should consider having another lap done because if the endo is coming back stronger than ever, it is something that needs to be looked into. Also, as I have been told before they usually can't see things relating to endo on an ultrasound so going back in is the only sure fire way to see it. I wish you the best of luck and understand the lack of faith in doctors. That's why you need to think of this more as you finding the answers for yourself than anything else. It keeps you going.

I could have written your post! Except my pain doesn't sound quite that bad, but I have vomiting and diarrhea along with it. My doctors are also saying endo on the bowel. Not much they can do except another surgery, which I don't think I'm quite bad enough for yet. It's frustrating!

I should add that I did see a GI doctor and having a colonoscopy to rule out other issues, but he also thinks it is endo on the bowels.

I am so sorry that you are going through this as well. I got my primary care to squeeze me in today and I have a feeling he will refer me to GI to do colonoscopy and see if they find anything. I am a little frustrated because my gyn said shes confident its not the endo causing me the pain, but it makes so much sense if its all on my bowels. I feel so crazy at this point that if another surgery is what I need to do I will let them do it.

I really Hope you get some answers soon and i'm so sorry for all that you are being put through. It's horrible to KNOW that something is wrong and feel as tho it's endo related only to have your gyno dismiss it as "something else". I Have Struggled With The Same Pain And Do Have Narrowing In My Bowl And IC From Endo:( The Pains.Are Sometimes Hard To Figure Out What Part They R Coming From! My Dr. Prescribed Vaginal Diazepam, That Relaxes The Muscles That Are In Spasm. Ultrasounds Are Worthless. Maybe Try That B4 Something More Abrasive. Hope This Helps.

Ciizipkey, can I ask you how they know you have a narrowing in your bowel? I'm going through similar issues.

thank you for all your replies and hope! Did they find the issues with your bowels from another lap or were GI doctors able to find it? I am trying to anticipate what might be coming up. My primary care physician said that it is likely if GI doesn't find anything then it will probably be time for another lap

Hey ladies...A colonoscopy can show narrowing of the bowel from the "perspective of inside the intestine". The endometrial implants can attach to the outside and sometimes perforate the bowel. I have a colonoscopy every 2 years (it was every year). The GI tells me that my bowel is "elongated and loopy" therefore difficult to view. My SIL (veteran of this disease) just had her colonoscopy. The doctor gouged her bowel and caused a blood clot. He screamed at her as though it were her fault and told her "You will need this test EVERY YEAR but NEVER come back here for it!!

I mean no disrespect, but this disease is almost impossible to discuss with a fluently English speaking doctor---Hers was NOT. My pain management doctor since 1/14 is NOT either. He is Egyptian, with thick accent. We have horrid communication issues but I have nowhere else to go.

I KNOW that either residual endometriosis and/or adhesions are choking my bowels, kidneys and bladder. Yet I get scoffed at by supposed specialists (at 3 university medical centers over 3 months) who tell me I'm too old to have endo post hysterectomy (53). They also tell me that they would not perform additional surgery to remove adhesions because "surgery causes more adhesions".

I'm so sorry for all of you who suffer with bowel issues. Just know that you are not alone. This disease SUCKS whether you are 15, 25, or 53...
