Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.

I have bad lower back pain and finally was referred to a rheumatologist (x-rays show nothing) and she confirmed I had lower back arthritis. She couldn't tell for certain, but often chronic inflammation (such as from endo) leads to arthritis if left untreated. She said nothing will help me with it really. I try to ignore it most of the time and just 'live with it'. Heat helps a little, as do hot showers. The way they diagnose arthritis is a 'bone scan' which is when they inject radiation into you and then x-ray you to see it.

I had really bad back pain with my endo. My electric heating pad worked if I used it with some kind of sports rub. Also, if I wanted to use just heat, I had to use moist heat--like the old style heating pads that you boil.

I go from a hot bath directly to bed with a heating pad, my periods make it ten times worse, I can;t even go to work sometimes. I have a pillow that you heat in the microwave and sleep with that under my back almost every night.

Yep, I have lower right back pain. Heating pad is the only thing that gives me relief...and that only makes it slightly bearable.

I also have lower back pain and shooting pains through my hips. Sometimes it is barely noticable and other times is is unbearable. When it is bad nothing seems to help. I try heat and ibuprofen.

I have had back pain since I was a teenager. I recently began seeing a wonderful chiropractor and he has helped more than anything I've tried.

Hi!!! Yes, back pain normal. I'm going to some specialist on endometriosis, Dr. Franklin & Dr. Mathias. They've found that a lot of women with endometriosis have an irritated bowel (not IBS, too complicated to go into in a chat room, message me if you want more!!) But due to that issue, the bowel as well as ovaries are in the lower back area. Control eating less red meat, chocolate (sad, I know) bananas, beans high sugar foods and caffeinated drinks and you will see a BIG difference. Also, as said by someone else, yoga and Advil help too. But that's natural help and helps get you healthier too!!!
