Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
I don't know if it's necessarily endo related or not. If you Google (pardon my french here) "period shits" you'll see other people talking/asking about it. I think I read it's something with our hormones. The hormone that is released to make our uterus cramp also makes our intestines cramp up.
I don't know if that's true or not though, but it happens like clockwork with my period. I usually keep my house well stocked with gatorade for those days.
Then again, it could be from your endo. I have had almost daily GI issues going on for almost 2 years now. My issue is endo on my bowels...the Gi issues have progressed over time to what they are now. Though GI issues can occur without endo being directly on the bowel.
Hope you get some answers soon!
