Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
I'm so sorry you're having a bad day. it sucks even more that theres nothing we can do but fight through it.
But I'm sorry you're having a bad endo day. I'd punch that bitch in the face for you...if she had one, anyway. Heat, Motrin, and heat heat heat heat!!! xoxo
how can we support each other? I think you're probably right - since DS hasn't supported us (for example, their description of endometriosis was wrong so I asked them to make a minor change, and they NEVER responded) - maybe we form our own board. even DS has private boards only open to those that are invited. those of us with ongoing long-term issues need to support each other, right? Misslliss and kDeezy - you with me?
I'm sorry you are having such a bad day!! What's going on?! Having a bad day myself....skipped two periods at the beginning of the year....then had weeks of non stop bleeding....went back on depo provera...had 4 weeks of no bleeding but have now been having increased bleeding over the last two weeks. Started as spotting but today is heavy and painful. Running a 10k on Saturday (forecast is raining and in the low 40's) blah!!!!
I do physical therapy because much of my endo pain is back pain. this week the back pain started going into my calf and heel again (tingling and stuff) so my PT guy worked me over something good. in response? I'm finally going #2 in...oh, I don't know, obviously a while. I hadn't really noticed (are most of us constipated? I don't go #2 every day like my hubs for sure)
I have so much pain with doing #2 now that I kind of pass out/fall asleep after going. I went 3 times today and still feel tingling in my calf and still feel awful. I took my pain pill today (am on a daily pain pill these days, it helps generally but not on bad up days like today). I should probably apply heat - you're right kDeezy! but I can't get my butt off the couch or out of my bed. let alone where is that dumb heat rice sack thing I used after surgery? our place looks like a tornado these days because of our 18 month old...
I'm serious about jumping ship. pm me if you're considering it too. there are a handful of us who could really support one another and do some good not just for ourselves but also for endo...
Pain meds themselves can cause constipation. I have ibs (on top of endo and fibromyalgia) so I go back and forth between being stopped up and not being able to stop!! Taking miralax when I'm taking pain meds seems to help me with the stopped up part!
I hope your day gets better!!!
As for the constipation: I hear you 100%. I don't know if it's the pain pills or what, but I do know I'm reluctant to go as often as others because it hurts so freaking much.
Anyway, I hope you ultimately find the support you're looking for somewhere. And I hope you can find some relief from the pain.
Kudos on the 10k Christine!! I'm not a runner but I have been working to get in shape for my sisters wedding which is now only 2 weeks away. Yikes!
I'm more than happy to chat more on Facebook. I'll be honest it's easier to chat there because it's attached to an app on my phone.

We can do this! We can support one another.
xoxo
I personally didn't like a lot if the drama. Plus, the misinformation on this board was starting to drive me nutty (no offense to anyone, but the only reason I have finally gotten proper care is because of accurate info I was able access through other sites).
Endowife, I would be interested in your group. But just so you know I belong to another group on FB that I love and it is a closed. It is more information, research based but that does turn into support as well. I think you would like this group! I hope you are doing ok.
