Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
Since you're messing with hormones, maybe phase out instead of cold turkey? I'd just hate for something to happen if you went cold turkey :)
As for the hormones, I am still debating that myself. I was contemplating just not refilling it when I run out, and trying it for a month or so & see how it goes. But I am only willing to do that because they still need to do a lap to remove one of my tubes, & my logic is they will remove any new Endo when they go in & do that, so what does it matter if I am on the hormones or not until then? I know that is not a good answer, & my doc wouldn't like that idea, but I am at that same point of why am I suffering? Maybe I would feel better without it? Can't get pregnant anyway! Lol. I hope this helps.
Also, when I had the cysts on my left ovary the pain would radiate all the way up the left side of my abdomen, the GYN who did my surgery said it was unrelated, but after the cysts were removed that particular pain was gone.
I am on nothing for my endo any more....but I wouldn't suggest going cold turkey....I'd come off it all slowly.
