Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
I saw the gyno today. We've been thinking for a few months that I have endo of the bowel. Today when she examined me she said my colon was swollen and up too high. She thought it was endo-related. Has this happened to anyone else? Any idea what this could mean? She said she can't say for sure without doing surgery, so she kind of avoided my interrogations. ;)
It is good that you are having a colonoscopy, though you usually won't see endo during one (it is pretty uncommon for it to invade completely through the wall of the bowel) it can at least rule out other stuff!
