Hey ladies. I hope you enjoyed your holidays. Ok, so most of you all know that since my 6th lap in Nov 2010 i have had no pain at all. Well, there is some strange shit going on and I am quite pissed about it ... can't you tell??? lol. Ok two weekends ago i started spotting old blood. I NEVER, EVER have breakthough bleeding ... like NEVER. I am on Seasonique and have been for several years with no problem. That spotting stopped and came back about a week later. Stayed for two days, got heavier and then my cycle started two weeks early while i was still on the pill. WHAT THE ****??? And I am STILL bleeding 6 days later. What the hell? Anyone else had something similiar?

I'm so sorry you are dealing with this. You were on such a good run, too. It still gives me so much hope. I can't totally relate since I've bled through every damn thing they've put me on. I was told the most common reasons for breakthrough bleeding are taking the pill at different times of day (duh), or adenomyosis (hope that's not the case). Unfortunately, it sounds like the Seasonique isn't working for you anymore. I think this can just happen after a number of years. They usually treat this with a higher dose of estrogen, but for us endo ladies, this usually isn't such a good idea. Have you tried Mirena? I'm pretty new to all this stuff, so I'm sorry I can't be of more help. I'm still learning, but it seems like all our options are very limited and frankly, kind of lousy.
