Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
Anyways, I will also add my thoughts on surgery since I have been meaning to respond to your other post.
This is just my opinion, and is not meant to be pushy at all, but I personally would think more about surgery, especially if you decide to try other medications first. I am not an advocate for surgery by any means. Though surgery can be very helpful if done correctly, numerous surgeries can cause scar tissues and other issues. But I think, why wait until you can no longer function if that doesn't have to be an option. Currently, I am doing much better than I was before my first surgery, but I am still not feeling my best. I have to several medications every day and sometimes those don't help, but I can still (with a lot of effort) function in my day to day. I am choosing to have another surgery because I don't think we should have to accept feeling only half as good as we could. With a skilled surgeon we can potentially feel good on more days than not, and that is the risk I am willing to take right now.
I know you have a hard decision to make. Not matter decision you do make you are the only one who has to agree with it and feel comfortable with it. Good Luck!
So I wouldn't expect it to go away on its own...but as I've seen many ladies here say they came back I wouldn't necessarily rush into surgery until you feel it is necessary for your quality of life. Whenever you do have the surgery, definitely go with the specialist!
I just don't know what to do.
I will definitely be using my specialist, Dr. Tu, for my next surgery, though. That is for sure!
I'd take care of yourself first. Babies are auxillary but you need to be well first before you could take care of a little one.
