hey ladies,
so for a quick recap. I have seen tons of doctors and gotten the run around and now feel like i've hit a brick wall. I had seen my obgyn a while back with such severe pelvic pain i thought my ovary was going to explode. she did an ultrasound and all was normal so she sent me on my way. for some reason she said she didn't think it was the endo pain (i was diagnosed with a lap almost 3 years ago now) and after seeing my primary care, GI, and ending up in the emergency room, i went to a different obgyn today for a second opinion.
I left the new obgyn and sat in my car and just cried my eyes out. He said what I knew all along that it is definitely the endo pain, but that he had to have a "come to Jesus talk with me" and that my next step is to do lupron and get pregnant right away. a few things here: I have already told my doctors absolutely not to lupron. I am not comfortable putting my body through that and I don't want to do it. My mom is only 51 and has osteoperosis already, to which he said, "well your bone will come back". the other thing is that my boyfriend and are are not ready for children yet. I know everybody says there is no good time, but we are just barely making it with all our bills and I would not want to be irresponsible and bring a child into that situation. and i would prefer to be married first.
he said he wouldnt suggest another surgery because that will create more scar tissue and increase infertility risk if i am even fertile at all at this point. and basically said the longer i refuse to do something then i will likely end up not being able to have children. I don't even know what to do.
am i being totally stubborn by refusing the lupron? I thought that normally it was ok for a patient to say No I don't want this treatment give me other options. and not my other option is to have babies when the pain has been so bad we can't even be intimate. I am going to lose it. and i got in a fight with my lawnmower today (eventually won).

I have been having some issues as well, and my doctor suggested Lupron or a birth control pill. I decided on a continuous pill which i will start here soon, but that could be another option if you haven't already tried it! Good Luck!
i have done continuous birth control as well as mirena. the mirena actually seems like it was helping out a little better than the bc.
I understand what you are feeling. It is amazing how I was reading your discussion and it seems like my situation. I have done the Lupron shot, the surgery where they cut them out, physical therapy, on painkillers, and etc. I am tired of hurting every day and feeling as if my life is put on hold. I am not myself either. People said I have changed. I do not feel like doing anything anymore. I do understand about the baby situation. I am 35 and in a long term relationship. I feel as if we are not ready. Also, I want to be married and more financially situated as well. I am praying it through. I praying that God will heal me. I joined through group to get some support and not feel as if I am along with this. Hang in there.
