Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
Hi, Yankee pointed out that DS uses the term "common" in describing our condition. Check it out:

This minimizes our problems and causes some people to not take us seriously. Please write DS and ask them to remove the word COMMON.
I love them to pieces, and this board so I don't think they meant to hurt us, but it does.
Sure, 1 in 10 may have endo, but 1 in 8 have breast cancer, yet it's not called "common."

We noticed that the description of endometriosis uses the word "Common" and we find this offensive. Those of us on the site are often the most imacted - some cannot work, others were just diagnosed, many cannot have kids. This disease really impacts us and we hate it when friends say "oh, I hear that is common, you'll be ok."
Thank you for taking our comments seriously. Again, this is not an attack, but a request to keep supporting us. Thank you for your awesome support.

Because that impression has been put in her mind, when she saw me curled up in a ball crying from how bad it hurt, she in other words basically told me to man up and get moving. If it wasn't for the pain immobilising me at that moment I think I would've gone mental at her xD
So yeah, the word common needs to be removed. And how bad the pain actually is needs to be described better
