Please don't contemplate that! In my worst days, I felt like I was existing in pain too. Have you happened to try acupuncture? It helped me so much. Or just different doctors? Dr. Stroud in Indiana is wonderful. I kept exporing options forever too. We fight like warriors against endo. Hang in there.

I'm so sorry to hear about your suffering. I find that CBD tinctures are helpful for relaxation and relieving pain. I don't know about their effect on gastrointestinal pain, though. Have you considered Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy? I recently got a referral and heard it can be incredibly helpful for endo and digestive issues/pain. I've also had some success with acupuncture and chinese herbs. I'm also on an anti-inflammatory diet (no gluten, sugar, dairy, red meat or night shades), which has helped sooooooooo much with bloating and pain. I hope you are able to find relief. Please be well

Hey Hey Hey!!! I live in CO now (was in TX when I was diagnosed) and moved here to be able to use medical cannabis. It helped me tremendously. Now, I have gotten to a point in my life where I no longer use cannabis and can still maintain a healthy lifestyle, enough so that I have very little pain. I would recommend it if you are contemplating ending your own life. It is not worth it. Also try cutting out dairy, SOY (this is huge because soy creates estrogen in the body which is fertilizer for endo), wheat, preservatives, red meat, sugar and go as organic as possible. I'm moving to CO for work and I'm looking forward to trying cannabis for my pain. Currently I'm on Tramadol and it makes my feet swell and hurt, and codeine makes me feel to woozy.

What dosage and type did you get for endo? I wasn't sure what to get.

Hey BrittVA. CO is amazing!! Get ready for some crazy high living expenses though. The housing market/rental market is just insane since cannabis was legalized here. I didn't really get a dosage per se, but depending on what you want to use, there are CBD patches that you can put directly on your lower abdomen that would help with the pain. I ate marijuana and in that case I would also go for an indica or something high in CBD. Indica's will help you sleep, more of a body feeling and Sativa will keep you awake and is more of a heady feeling. I stuck with the Indica's. Look into Medical Mary's brand. Anything high in CBD would be ideal though (THC gets you high, CBD relieves seizures and pain). If you want to get a medical marijuana license then the prices for everything will be cheaper, but also realize that your job would find out and could be in jeopardy, depending on how your job feels about "drugs" in the workplace. I put that in quotations because it is an extremely helpful plant that just grows naturally like that. I believe a drug has to have something chemically altered or done to it, like all prescription drugs, crack, cocaine, meth, etc.... I did not get a medical marijuana license and instead payed recreational prices because I did not want to even chance jeopardizing my job.

As for MMJ, I don't have a card. I've obtained through a friend in a legal state. I'm very early in my trials and find it BEYOND frustrating. WTF does use of MJ products have to be SO complicated?

I've got to find a new source because my friend is starting another round of chemo next week. I don't want to burden them with shopping/shipping my MMJ. He's dying a slow horrid death. I can't help him or his wife. It breaks my heart.

I am trying Cannatonic for inflammation/pain/mood lift. It's supposedly a good balance of CBD:THC for daytime use. I don't want sedation or couch lock or shit-faced high feelings. It would be nice to feel less despair, yet be able to function.

Pain and desperation have become more overwhelming with failed trials of pain meds. My already crippled bowels have become obstructed, requiring hospitalization. I'm now taking Linzess 290 daily just to have a bm. It's bad...really bad.

I can't possibly move out west where MJ is legal. My husband of 36 years and I have worked so hard for our home and land. We would have to practically "give" it away to live like paupers in CO or Oregon. We would move in a heartbeat if it were possible.

I've got to figure out a way to obtain the MMJ from here. I don't smoke...never have...except my first try of Indica last year. What a SCREAM!!! I got shiz 'n giggles, but no way I can keep my career in that state of euphoria. It didn't help the pain. I just didn't give a damn that I even had a body. Seriously, though....If I can't get some relief soon, it's not looking good for me.

Speckledpup, try consuming chia seeds everyday in order to help you have a BM. For me, it just basically helps everything glide right out. lol Also try drinking a green drink every day. I usually buy mine but you can just as easily make them. I get an organic chia kambucha drink from Sprouts (or a health food store in your area if you don't have a sprouts) and I used to juice some green veggies, but have also found some organic green juices in the same section in the health food store. Try it out!

Thanks, ksprizzle...I'm not sure I can digest chia seeds. I had gastric bypass in 1987 after gaining weight (BC pills to control periods since 16). I lost the weight and kept it off, but that surgery was a huge mistake. By the time I was crawling out of that fox hole of recovery, I was finally diagnosed with stage 4 endo. I have adhesions from that GBP surgery, 2 partial hysts, and a final "gutting" so to speak, in 1994. It's complicated, trust me. If only it were so simple as for me to eat fruits/nuts/seeds and poop. I can (and do) drink prune juice daily. I eat prunes, raisins, sunflower seeds, fruits and vegetables. I have to chew them to a pulp before swallowing because I have no digestive juices with altered pouch.

I have no doubt my bowels and bladder are being choked to death by lesions/adhesions. I sent all of my records to Dr. Patrick Yeun in St. Louis, begging for intervention. He recommended I see a general surgeon. I GIVE UP!?! GR-R-R-r-r-r-r

I'm sorry to hear about your Doctor. That is so upsetting when a doctor in the medical field just pushes you away like that. If you are open to traveling, I would highly recommend the Dr I had in Houston TX. He is the second leading expert of endometriosis in the US and has been studying it for 20 some odd years. he did a great job on my laparoscopy.

He is technically labeled as a fertility specialist, but only because so many woman who have endo are labeled as infertile. So he became a 'fertility specialist'. No other options when there are no endometriosis specialty labels. It is very saddening how western medicine just kind of throws our disease on the back burner....when it is so detrimental and affects so many.

Oh man!! There are so many out there in so many different forms. I would just recommend something natural and as organic as possible. If you drink caffeine, then I would go for a kambucha drink. Kefir is another probiotic drink. I have tried milk kefir before and it seemed to work with my body. It is all about what works for your body though. Also eating foods like all natural sourkraut or other fermented foods help to get probiotics into the body. I know they have some probiotic supplement, but those are things that I have not looked into as I get it through kefir or kambucha. I just found a water kefir at the grocery store. It was excellent! A great way to get probiotics.

I've tried the cbd oil and it works wonders. I'm considering to see if I can get approved for the medical cannabis as well. I'm allergic to pain killers so I usually have to suffer in pain and always use my heating pad.

I'm so sorry for all of us who are hurting, with little if any relief. I cannot tolerate pain meds either. The inflammation is choking my bladder and bowels. I am battle-weary.

I've used it and it works great for me. The higher the CBD the better, but we're kidding ourselves to think we know exactly what part of the plant is the most beneficial. You kind of need to experiment on your own. Take a trip to CO, many of the dispensaries have employees who are super knowledgeable, especially if they have medical marijuana patients.
