Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
My main symptom was mind-numbing fatigue, although I think that is a difficult symptom to have because I'm always tired...even when I'm not anemic! ;) I also had very strong cravings to eat ice. It's called pica. I only have this symptom when I'm anemic...like I literally had this symptom of getting the ice soft enough to crunch on and would have to eat about 10 ice cubes before leaving for work in the morning. Weird! I also got cold really easily.
It's easily diagnosed through a blood test, so I would just ask your doctor to test you if you think it is a possibility.
I would make a doctors appointment and have your levels checked. You may need a prescription supplement, if that's the case you will definitely start feeling a lot better!!
I am just SO exhausted. I cannot believe how tired I have been the past couple days! I have done nothing to exhaust myself and I have been getting sleep. I just don't know! Maybe I will see if I can see the doctor here at school to get it checked out... Can eating a lot of iron rich foods fix it?
