I'm so glad you asked about this. I live in Massachusetts, which is voting this November on whether to make medical marijuana legal (ballot question). I hope they do. I have heard from other forums that marijuana really helped with endo pain. I hope that more doctors get on the bandwagon, and I would also love to hear from people who have experience using marijuana to control endo pain.Sorry I have no other information to offer, but it would be great if you could keep us informed on whether you were able to get medical marijuana and if it helped.

Well in New Mexico I have found it's a pretty big process to get approved for it. I have to get two signatures to say that I qualify for chronic pain then all of my records will go in front of a board and they will decide. I already have one signature and should have the second in a week or so. I will keep everyone posted on how this goes. For the states where it's legal it might be worth trying because it's a natural solution for pain which I like a lot better than all of these other drugs they have put me on.

Oh the irony. I was just having this conversation with someone today. I am SO sick and TIRED of being in so MUCH EFFIN PAIN!!. I hate taking narcotic pain meds on a daily basis. If medical marijuana was legal here, I would try it.. Since I cant live in a opiod haze 5 days out of the week. Sigh.. I just am so tired of being in pain. I have done mayan abdominal massage, heat packs, acupuncture, Chiropractor, naturopath. My only Hope is my OBGYN, We are holding out on doing the lupron injection until I am 3 months post op. However no BCP are helping suppress the pain and (Sorry if TMI) the effin blood clots. Sigh.. Glad I found this site. I am so tired of pain. :(

Erinmarge I feel for you and I'm sorry you are in so much pain :( Have you tried depo privera and a method of bc? I am changing from implanon to that tomorrow and my OB thinks that it will help me more... we shall see.

wow - I'm so glad we're talking about this! I hope that the medical community and the population at large comes to its senses on medical marijuana, especially for chronic pain. It may be one treatment that works. Anyone else out there have experiences using marijuana to help with endo pain? Also, I've heard that marinol, the pill form of medical marijuana, helps with pain relief but has less of the "side effects" (i.e., getting high). If this was considered as a treatment for a young person, it would be better not to get high from it, for obvious reasons. For adults, I think the "side effect" of getting high is not so bad, as long as the pain is gone!

I have tried 3 different BCP, We just switched to sprintec (ortho tri) since Ocella (yazmin) was not working, nor was apri(desogen). I had an adverse reaction to the depo.. so doing lupron is kind of a gamble for me. Sigh, I talked to my triage nurse today about the pain. Which seems to be worst at night and in the morning, she said I am passing clots since we switch BCP and have been suppressing my cycle since March 3rd. I had a lap in april, and unfortunately majority of adhesions are attached to my bowels and colon. I just feel shitty. I want to lay in bed with a heating pack all day.. But gotta suck it up.

You don't just have to suck it up! When I was at the point you are where I felt there weren't any good options for me, I asked me doctor to refer me to a pain management specialist. Believe me it's worth it!
