Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
In 2011 I started with a doctor who actually left the practice recently, and she was great, and I saw her at the Radnor location. I chose her at the time because she specialized in adolescent endometriosis (I was 18 then), and she was really great and very accomplished in her work. When she left, they switched me to another doctor who I see at the center city (or I guess university city?) location now. My first appointment with her was last year, and it went well. I just had my second lap with my new doctor and everything has been going well.
In a nutshell, I've been very happy with my experience with Penn these past four years, and I definitely recommend it! BUT make sure you see a doctor who specializes endometriosis/fertility. On the Penn Medicine website you can actually look at profiles of the doctors and see all of the information you need to make an informed decision about which doctor(s) might be best for you.
