Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
I, personally saw a cancer surgeon (by my 3rd surgery). He remained my doctor for yearly colonoscopies/pelvic exams for 15+ years until he retired. I have yet to find a doctor as thorough and honest as he was.
The ladies here can make suggestions to you...depending on your location and your ability to travel. Just keep your post bumped. I live in the south with no one worthy of referral IMO. Last Fall I saw 3 GYNs "specializing in endometriosis" at UT and UMMC (both teaching university hospitals) They basically made fun of me saying "there was NO WAY that residual endo was causing my pain" @ 52 with hysterectomy w/removal of ovaries. They assumed the culprit is either severe adhesions or simply "in my head".
I send you HUGS of hope that you can soon find the help you need=)
