I'm sorry you are going through this! I have never had that problem...my period is only 2-3 days on or off BC. It sounds like you need a good doctor.

If you've had that much blood and for so long, I'd go to the E.R./urgent care. That isn't normal...forget waiting! Once you've been to the E.R., your regualr doc will make room to see you for a follow-up. ;)

i called him he told me to take ibprofin 600mg every 6 hours to stop the bleeding have you guys heard of this?

That's ridiculous!!! Find a new Dr!!! I was told if you are soaking 6-8 pads in 6 hours you need to be seen...if it's more than that, as it sounds like yours is, you need to go to the ER.

I agree with the other girls. You need a doctor that will take this problem seriously!

Hi I've had what you are going through and the others are right, it really is not a good thing because if you let it go as far as I did (2 months) then its going to completley drain the life out of you and you will end up with iron difincency tablets and all other things on getting your strength back. Seriously it is such a vicious cycle to get into, so please go to your emergency department. You'll be seen quicker.

ibuprofen does not stop the bleeding, its an anti-inflammatory. this dr is negligent for ignoring your emergency-level heavy blood loss, and clearly does not understand endo if he thinks ibuprofen will stop the bleeding. please go to the ER before you blackout.

yeah, she's right, that is medically incorrect. Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory and does nothing for blood loss! After my lap they told me that if I soaked through more than a pad every 2 hours to proceed to emergency, so you should! And find a doctor who understands the female body, because the other sounds WAY OFF.

Hey everyone I should have updated this the other day i went and sat at my drs office all day the other day until he wold see me and when he did we decieded that we would change my birth control pill and we are going to do another surgery. Im just waiting on the blood tests to come back and say if im preggo or was or whatnot and that I do not have any infections and then we will set the date. he did tell me that the ibprofin every 6 hours will lessen the inflamation in my uterus and will slow the bleeding and i called around to other drs offices that i have been too and they told me the same thing so i guess we will try it. but my dr really wants to look at the fluid i have behind my uterus and make sure it is fluid. Im worried about it just because of the pelvic inflammatory disease staph infection i had back in january. i will let you all know how it goes and what the date is. thank you all for your advice.
