I have been trying not to wash it too often. I am using heavy repair cream rinses and leave in conditioners. Or sometime a little mouse to make it look fuller. Also i started taking biotin supplements.

There is a line by Aveda called Invati. It was specifically designed for women with hair loss issues. The shampoo exfoliates the scalp to open the pores. The conditioner thickens the hair you currently have and the revitalizer (spray) puts your scalp into the best possible condition for hair growth. They don't guarantee it can grow back everything but it stops future hair loss.

The product works so well that we carry it at my barbershop and have had success getting thinning mens hair back in shape.

The three step system will run you about 120$. But it's worth it. Plus it's Aveda so it's all natural, no harsh chemicals and it's made in the US (Minnesota)

As a hairstylist I highly recommend it. Plus with all the sensitivities that we get having Endo. I touch this product several times daily and it doesn't irritate my skin.

@vansan. Not washing enough and using heavy repair creams can clog the scalp pores and cause more thinning. Wash every other day and condition but only use repair creams mid shaft through the tips every few washes. Pick up some argon oil ( Josie Marin at Sephora is great) and after you have towel dried your hair rub a few drops on your finger tips and massage into your scalp. It won't leave you greasy but it'll keep your scalp balanced. Works great as a moisturizer too and balances dry or acne prone skin.

When I lost some hair from Femara my hairdresser recommended Nioxin. I really liked it. There's a couple different Nioxin's. I'm pretty sure I used the one in the white bottle.

Nioxin is the equivalent to the Invati I mentioned. There are several formulas for different hair types and condition of hair. It works great but the biggest complaint I hear from my clients is that it causes irritation to those with sensitive skin.

I want to know though, does the hair grow back after you stip taking the medication. My hair is falling out from the lupron...although I don't have any bald spots I am curious if all this shedding will stop.

Yes, Vally...Your hair will grow back after Lupron. I had the "Big 90's Bon Jovi" hair when I started Lupron in 1993. I would stand in the shower with handfuls of long spiral curls coming out in clumps. I cried my eyes out. Thankfully, enough of the "big hair" remained attached so that I could cover my bald patches until it grew back. I suffered SO much through those 2 years of botched surgeries and Lupron that I finally reached a point where I didn't care if I was bald...or dead, for that matter.

But, yea, it'll grow back thick and lush as it was before. I've always taken prenatal vitamins, which help hair and nails=)

Hey Spec pup- i am here and there-- had a major breakdown/meltdown last night because i had allowed myself forget that i was out of Lyrica... i started withdrawing pretty bad- shakes, headaches and insomnia!!! then the doc sent some to the local Walgreens, and they wanted 104 for a month supply--- i couldn't afford it!! i cried, drank, threw fits and then got in touch with one of my friends who takes it and she gave me some.. withdrawal from that drug is dangerous. Today is another day.... sigh

Bless your heart...I'm glad you had a friend to help out. Yea, I tried Lyrica when it first came on the market, in conjunction with Abilify, Cymbalta and Neurontin. I was so stoned out of my mind I couldn't function. I started to gain weight and freaked out. It wasn't easing my pain anyway...just made me not give a shit...about ANYTHING or anybody. I stopped all of it.

I've taken Donnatal for 30 years for intestinal spasms. As of last August, it was no longer available in generic. A single bottle of name brand was $230 and change. My doctor gave me a paper script and suggested I seek a Canadian pharmacy online for a better price. Of course, I don't trust online pharmaceuticals...so I had to go cold turkey. That benzo was helping my belly pain. I've been in a death spiral ever since.
