Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
Just a word of warning to you, this drug is very difficult to come off of.
i spoke with OB, Pain management doc, and psychiatrist about cymbalta, all agree it can be quite helpful with the pain, even if you aren't depressed. It can be incredibly hard to come off, and it is very expensive..
I am currently trying to come off all meds as much as possible. i am down to 50-60 Tylenol 3/ month, just finished 6 months lupron with add back (so should be out of my system in about a month), off lexapro for a couple months now... i am trying to excercise and still do my PT. I am trying to get pain relief from a topical, use a tens unit a lot... of course nothing works like pain meds, but i have this idea that i can train my body to handle the pain and get used to it (so far, it just sucks....).
