Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
This really is one of those times when I hope we both can learn from our own and others' mistakes! Healing, for me, realistically takes about 2 weeks before I can do normal daily things without being in pain from surgery. I hope you can force yourself to rest and that the remainder of your healing process goes well. Get a big pile of movies or some books to read and put drinks and snacks within reach so you aren't as tempted to get up and move around maybe?
And don't forget that even though we may be left with small incisions, most of the wounds are inside where we can't see them. Other people may have healed in a couple days from a larger incision, but they probably don't have numerous wounds inside to deal with.
Best of luck, I hope you are feeling great very soon!
