hello ladies this is the 1st time in a long time that I have been on this site... but I do need some advice... I have been having my first period in many years... im thinking about 3 years. well its been going since a week ago Monday and it is still strong... I don't know what to do.. it was what I thought was mucus like but while examining my tampon it seems to be appearing as blood clots... I am not sure what to do... the doctor told me that the mucus like blood was normal but im not sure about the clotting.. ant advice??? should I call my gyn?
I think that is completely normal, especially after not having a period for years! I normally have some clotting. I didn't have a period for 3 months and have one now and it is different (more mucusy) than usual. I think your body has to clean things out after so long.
