I hope everyone is having a good day.

For the ladies that have the mirena inserted. What did you feel after was put in?
I have mine put in yesterday and last night was so weird. I was anxious and was a little dizzy. I am still a little dizzy.

Is this normal after the mirena? Should I be concern?

ive had two mirenas inserted and i never got dizzy with either of them. although it doesnt contain estrogen in some women it can still raise their blood pressure. if it continues talk to your doctor and go from there. hopefully it goes away and the mirena helps you :)

I had a mirena inserted in sept and although i never got dizzy per say, i was very very sick the whole time i had it in. But they had to put me to sleep in order to get it in! maybe that was why. I hope you feel better soon!!! :)

I had my mirena placed while I had my first lap, so I was under. My sister had hers put in in her obgyn's office, and she felt dizzy, sick to her stomach, and she felt as though she had to faint. I have heard some people getting side effects such like yours. I hear it is just because the nerves down in that area are so close to your central nervous system, and all pain and whatnot centrals around your spinal area. Im sure it will feel better soon, but if not, call your DR :) get well

Thanks ladies. Did your sister feel better? The dizziness went away?
I called my dr and they said none of the patients have complaint about being dizzy or foggy after the mirena. They told me to drinks plenty liquiqs, rest (I wish I can) and no driving. They told me to call if I dont feel better in a couple of days.

I really hope this goes away.

It did go away. Her dizziness and faint feelings happened right when they put it on and they made her wait and drink a lot of water before she left. She felt kind of like that all day but it went away. See what happens, but don't mess around, and don't take anything from the doctors!! Good luck. Keep us posted.
