The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
Hey Ladies,
I decided to add a list of tips on my website for women who are having there first lap. I wanted to know if there is anything else I should add to the list. I feel that we have women come in all the time asking for tips and advice for the recovery process. Let me know if there is anything you would like to add to this = )

First off you will need someone to help you move up and down for the first 2-3 days. You dont realize how much you use your midsection everyday, you will need some help.
The doctors put CO2 gas in your abdomen to expand it. This can be very painful. This gas does NOT come out like normal gas. It takes a few days to absorb in your muscles. To help ease the pain use heating pads, take your medication your doctor gave you and try peppermint tea. Do not buy gas X or any other gas product. These will not help. It just has to absorb.
Make sure you were loose and comfy clothes for your surgery. The last thing you want is to wear jeans that will rub on your incisions. Also wear shoes that slip on.
Dont forget to purchase pads. Most women now use tampons and you are not allowed to use them after the surgery. You will have some bleeding for the first few days.
Make sure you relax! If you start getting antsy and move around to much you can cause more bleeding. You may feel fine on the outside but you have had a lot of trauma on the inside. So when your doctor says recovery is two weeks, get as many movies, books or other things to keep you busy.

I had my boyfriend bring me in some rice noodles while i was in the hospital because I did not like the food that they gave me. He also brought my some flowers which kept me company while he had to be at work.
Above all, the most important thing after a lap is to relax, relax, relax. Take it easy. As Ashley said, you may feel fine on the outside, but use this as an excuse to lay in bed for a week and be waited on!
