Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
I am having my 10th lap, even after hysterectomy, in June with a specialist! taking out appendix, ovary, adhesions, scar tissue and endo! I haven't had surgery in 7 years.. i feel old and like im not ready for this one!

I don't know that it'll necessarily take more time to heal, but I totally understand your apprehension. It may even be easier since a lot of stuff is coming out rather than being scraped and left to heal. Just take it easy...you know the drill. Good luck, and hopefully this is the last one!!
Im so sorry you actually had a hysterectomy and it didn't resolve the endo! I really hope and pray this 10th surgery helps you feel better!
Since you've had a hysterectomy, and they're removing an ovary, why not the other? From what I understand, removing both ovaries has a much higher success rate for "curing" endo during a hysterectomy because ovaries produce estrogen, and that fuels the endo. I was told by my Dr. who told me last month she wanted to give me a hysterectomy, that she'd remove everything, not just the uterus.
Maybe something to ask your surgeon about. I know its all so overwhelming already, and asking about removing something else might sound crazy, but it might really help.
No lie; it might be a little longer healing time because they're removing the ovary and appendix. But that's not necessarily true either! And you're not old!! You'll heal fine, even if it takes a bit longer!

I had my appendix taken out during my last lap, as well as a myomectomy and lots of adhesion and endo removal...it took me a little longer to recover than my first lap where less was done but not too bad and I feel a lot better now anyway.
