Just having a bad last month or so with my bowels. I have been doubly incontinent for quite a few years. But mostly had sucsess with a bowel program. But I just can't seem to maintain one anymore and swinging between days of bad constipation & then days of diarrreha. Its unpredictible and embarrasing. I'm wearing My overnight briefs all the time now just in case. My nurse & doctor seem to be out of ideas. My husband is sympathetic and he helps care for Me. But I'm sure it gets to him. I have been disabled and semi helpless for 10 years and this latest progresion is really getting Me down. We have been using a diaper for quite a few years for My loss of bladder control. And there has always been bowel accidents as well. But now its just all the time. I know this could be a point where I just deal with it. And even if its not yet. At some point it will be. Just asking anybody else deal with this?

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
Sometime around July of this year (2012) I started experiencing sudden loss of bowel control.
My doctor gave me a referral to see a gastroenterologist. I'm not sure if I saw a quack or what, but this guy told me I pretty much have to live with it (mostly because already I've had two colonoscopies, both of which were negative; I'm not bloated, constipated or experiencing any type of abdominal pain). I've increased my fiber/prune/psyllium intake, which not much difference. I still lose stool, whether it's firm or soft. Because it doesn't happen to me every day (but sometimes it happens 2+ times in one day), all I can really do is keep a steady supply of diapers and wipes on me at all times; and PRAY it doesn't happen when I'm at work (it's only happened once at work, and it was minor).
After finally telling my wife -- all she really had to say was, "well, you already wear diapers anyway".
