Empty nest syndrome is a general feeling of depression and loneliness that parents/other guardian relatives feel when one or more of their children leave home. Empty nest syndrome has become more prevalent in modern times, as the extended family is becoming less common than in past generations, and the elderly are left living by themselves.
Hello every one
This is my first post im just at a cross road right now and i dont know what way to go. well i have raised 4 kids of my own and many of other ppl kids i have always had a full house i came from a full house so any thing less is not right. i live in the country and gave all my kids ground to buld on and some did i thought i would allways thought they would be around and i was happy i have 13 grand kids so their is all ways somthing going on recently one by one my children have been moving to other towns far from me for their jobs and such well the last one just moved and now my husband and i live on all this property with no one around it is to quiet i feel left behind the property is more then my husband or i can keep up with im thinking about selling after 30 years of living here i really dont know what to do im so confused im not sure if i want to move because i feel left behind or what i dont even know where ealse i would want to move to i am so lost. is this a normal feeling ?
If it doesn't seem likely, could you sell the big house for something smaller and then invest into an RV where you go visit your kids/grand kids where they live...but then also have the RV to sleep in so you don;t have to both them for sleeping quarters? Just a thought. Blessings to you.
