Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Support Group
Ehlers-Danlos syndrome is a group of rare genetic disorders caused by a defect in collagen synthesis. Depending on the individual mutation, the severity of the disease can vary from mild to life-threatening. Common symptoms are unstable, flexible joints with a tendency to dislocate and subluxate, and elastic, fragile, soft skin that easily forms welts and scars.
Since my diagnosis I've been taking celebrex twice a day, it is good for joint pain, in fact I've never really known a painkiller to work before for anything, this one takes away over half the pain so I like taking it.
Problem is my restless legs, steadily getting worse, the itchy/prickly feeling which jerks my leg involuntarily if I don't scratch or move, has been happening every minute or two, every evening while I sit on the sofa before bed. Tonight its driving me mad, and is not confined to my legs either. It mainly stops once I'm lying in bed, (90%).
Wikipedia has IBS, EDS and restless legs as comorbid with POTS, which I believe I have in some form, except my resting heart rate is very slow, bradycardia at 48 or 52 usually, so that doesn't fit except that its not normal, but my dizziness on standing is also more than usual recently.
Anyone know if this can be a side effect of celebrex? Its only been a couple of weeks since I started celebrex, so may be coincidence, but opinions welcome :)

I would say that it is probably being caused by the Celebrex, and maybe there is another med they could give you to try. My concern is that the muscle movements are called dyskinesia, and they can be permanent if you don't stop the meds. So, I would certainly talk to the doctor.
