Hi all,
I didn't know what to write as the name of this,
So issue is my partner who I told you has eczema on his feet quite reoccurantly had an issue with his private parts last night (testicles). He reckoned it had a cut and was hurting so I had a look see. He does have a cut poor thing :( But he had also was looks to be eczema there too, underneath his testicles it appears quite a significant patch, he obviously was scratching it and cut himself.

Now does anyone have any ideas as to what he could use to help ease the eczema there?

His feet are irritated generally if he reuses socks so he has fresh clean ones (I make sure of this) daily! I know he has enough underwear and it's clean so it can't be his underwear. Possibly sweat is doing it?? (it's turning into summer here in Aus) Im not sure what's setting it off but I feel bad for him :( I'd love to have an idea of what I can get to help...thanks a bunch!

Maybe try an all natural paraben sulphate-free diaper rash cream. Or organic baby powder. :) Hope that helps!

I've had eczema all over my body but, thankfully, not often in the genital area. If you're talking about the area between the testicles & anus that would be a prime spot for external irritations. There can be sweating from excercise or even just sitting extended periods of time as the testicles & skin lay against this area so taters90 suggestion of baby powder sounds good. I've reacted to it in the past, but the organic may work. A sparing use of diaper rash cream sounds good, never used it on myself, I wouldn't want to use a cortisone in this area as it is damp & now compromised . I think most people can get irritation in this area & it may even be "jock itch" & have an organic compound to it which would seem just like e. Women in the group may know of products for this area as well, it looks different but the skin is the same. Has he ever seen a Dr as his feet? My dad suffered from "trench foot" for years after he was in combat but never had it treated. I'd get a professional opinion if he hasn't already.
Watch use of laundry soap, I use about 1/2 of liquid soap & the same amount of distilled vinegar & 2 rinse cycles. More thorough washing & drying in this area during bathing helps me. It will take a little time to heal but at least you've got yourself a "sensitive" guy. It's nice that he's got you.

Thanks so much Joe! it is that area, my mum suggested funnily enough all the things you have - one good thing about having a nurse as a mum :)

Im guessing but should probably ask him, that he was taken to the doctor as a child, his dad also suffers from it in the same area (feet).

I've used organic coconut oil to sooth my flare ups *everywhere*. But need to be sure he doesn't have a coconut allergy before trying something like that somewhere so sensitive. Hope you find something that helps!

Try jason pure vitamin e oil. Use a high I.u. Like 32,000 . I use this on my cheeks and bum and it clears flare up in a few days. I love it. Vinegar is good too.
