so i just told my best friend about my eczema and how it affects me. she responded with the typical answer like she wont look at me any differently and i shouldnt let it define me etc. most people would feel better after getting this out and not having to hide it anymore, but i feel the same. maybe even worse. i feel like every time my eczema is visible she will be looking out of curiosity. im tired of having this embarrassing condition. nobody i know has this to the severity that i do. its such an inconvenience. i hate it! it has made me such a depressed, lonely, and negative person. whether i like it or not, it defines me. i need help but im afraid and ashamed to ask for it. i just wanna get it all out and get over it and move on with my life. i dont think i will ever be okay with it or accept it. how can i expect anyone else to accept me if i dont accept me? fml.
