Goodness it's so hard when dealing with a baby. It must be heartbreaking for you :(
I hear a lot of people use bathing as a way to treat babies skins as well as creams and such. There's a good site I found which goes over some bath ideas and sort of compares each type. You might find some helpful info there topeczematreatments.com - here's the page on the baths http://topeczematreatments.com/soaps-body-washes/
Its really hard also because you cant really change their diet because he/she is probably still on some sort of formula.
A friend of mine had a baby with really bad eczema but they found that once they got rid of the cats and dogs, it reduced almost to the point of not being there. Definitely look at potential allergens. The most common I have noticed with eczema people is animals and dust mites. The animal one is easy, keep them outside and clean the house thoroughly! Dust mites is a bit harder. I was recommended to hot wash all bedding once a week in water 55 degree celcius or more. Also to get dust mite covers for pillows and mattresses etc. And then to change carpet to floor boards and heavy fabric blinds to non fabric blinds - these ones are both a bit dramatic but if attempted to improve over time it might make the world of difference.
If I find some more informative and helpful articles I will post them here for you.
I really hope your baby finds some relief soon. They are lucky to have a parent who cares so much for them :)
