Exquisite Pain

I don't have a dishwasher and I have eczema on my hands. When I have a particularly bad outbreak and wash dishes, I experience what I can only describe as "exquisite pain". A pain, yes, but there's something about it that feels good. Have any of you experienced this?

I'm not sure about all you are sharing but I know that people that 'self-harm' feel a 'release' of pain in the process.

I have to use those cheap dish washing gloves at times and then I use cream when my skin gets dry. I'm the only dishwasher I have ever owned and it used to drive people nuts that I would not 'upgrade'. I'm just a simple, country girl and the garden and compost pile are my passions LOL My dishwasher has always been my two hands and so far they work great!!!

I think that's because the brain releases opiates to counter the pain. I get the same damn thing. It's like having a button to push for a hit of drugs. My skin is awful; I've ripped it up scratching it because it feels so good. Had this same problem for 4 years. No healing except temporary healing, only to be scratched up again.
