I have this problem a lot. I have found a way to minimize it and overcome it, and I hope it helps. :) I don't want to sound like a hypocrite bc i still struggle with my ED restrictions but I've been doing pretty well with them for the past year since I got clean. I give myself examples why i need to eat...classes, showing up for people, playing with my dog....just everything positive why you should and deserve to eat....and then to minimize my chore feelings I schedule time to make myself meals that I enjoy and are nutritious. I make it fun by making it time for me to listen to my favorite tunes or read a good book. In short, I associate eating and food with self care and love and that is never a chore, although you should do it so many times a day!! Also if you don't have time (life is hectic I know) I make something good that I can store in the fridge but when i'm making it i still observe self care rituals and then remember them when i'm eating. As far as anxiety, I remind myself of my list and i'm putting positive good things in my body so I can have positive good things from my mental state. Hope I didn't jabber on too long and this helps! (((hugs)))
