And if that is not what their heart is saying, then screw 'em!!
It's annoying at the best of times when the only thing people begin to see about you is your physical, and once they start commenting on it, well, like you said, it just gets worse. My family and friends don't like talking about ED, but they sure don't mind talking about my looks or watching me eat. So, I make ED front and centre and keep them informed of the struggles I go through. I don't want to hear them critique my looks or their opinions they care not to learn about. So, I educate them. I've even left rooms and events when people choose to stay focused on my physical.
I should stop rambling, because I think I'm giving ideas that I'm not meaning on sending.
Anyways, just work through the meals and take your time. Hang in there
since then, she has had 2 kids, and we no longer go clothes shopping together-which makes my life a lot easier.
i am glad you're recognizing your unhealthy behavior, and coming here for help and encouragement. from the sound of your post, you must have read "life without ed". have you done any of the exercises in the book yet? if not, you might want to try it. the "defining your recovery" one helped me a lot. in fact, when i move, i'm typing up my answer to that excise and hanging it up somewhere in my apartment. if you want to try the "defining your recovey" exercise, it's my DS journal.
